During your Fez Private Tour, you will visit mosques, including the Quaraouiyine Mosque founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri and the Andalusian Mosque dating back to 860. Entry is not permitted to non-Muslims. You’ll also visit fountains like the Nejjarine Fountain, Medersas (Koranic schools) founded as early as the 13th century, the Batha Palace, now a museum of arts and traditions, and the Chouara Tanneries.
Additionally, you will explore souks like Souk Attarine, one of the liveliest in the city, and Bab Boujloud with its green and blue ceramics.
Day 4: Fez - Ifrane - Middle Atlas - Midelt - Merzouga
After an early breakfast, you will begin your ascent through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un-Moroccan style, built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. From there, we continue our drive across the stunning landscapes of the Middle Atlas, spending most of the day winding through beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and traditional Berber villages as we make our way towards the Sahara Desert.
Halfway through the journey, we will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Afterward, we will continue passing through Ziz Valley and more Berber villages as we make our way to Merzouga in the afternoon.
After a relaxing rest and a refreshing mint tea, your guide and camels will be waiting to take you across the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset as you ride camels through the desert. After about two hours, you will reach your desert camp, where you will spend the night in a traditional Berber tent. At the camp, your camels will be hobbled, and mint tea will be served.

Day 5: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Ouarzazate
After a special Berber breakfast, you'll depart towards Ouarzazate. Your first stop will be Rissani, the first capital of the Alaouite Dynasty, where you'll explore historical Kasbahs and visit the famous market. From there, we continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, a rugged route lined with turreted sand-castle-like kasbahs, once vital stops along ancient caravan trading routes.
As part of your Moroccan Travel Tour, you will pass through a central region that is one of the most exciting and romantic destinations in Morocco. This area is nestled along rich rivers, valleys, palm groves, and burnished mud-brick homes, all bathed in vibrant color under the vast blue desert sky.
We'll travel through Ziz Valley, past dramatic escarpments and plunging gorges, and continue via Tinghir. We’ll stop for lunch and take a walk through the Todra Gorge, famous for its stunning, sheer cliffs.
Afterward, we'll continue to Ouarzazate, passing through Boumalne Dades and Rose Valley. In the evening, we'll arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the town of Ouarzazate, including the famous Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous movie studios in Africa. From here, we head to the Fint Oasis, located near Ouarzazate.
As part of your Marrakech Desert Tour, we will stop in Ait Ben Haddou to visit the iconic Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been the backdrop for films such as The Gladiator, Babel, and Lawrence of Arabia.
We will then continue through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, a road that climbs from the plains to 2,260 meters above sea level.
Along the way, we will pass through small villages, see small waterfalls, and experience the continuously changing landscape and colors of these stunning mountains.
We will reach Marrakech in the early afternoon.
Day 7: Marrakech « Guided Tour »
After a special Berber breakfast, you’ll depart towards Ouarzazate, traveling through the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs that rise up like turreted sand castles along this ancient caravan trading route. This area has long been a popular location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile, and more recently Hideous Kinky.
As part of your Luxury Morocco Holidays, you'll explore one of the most exciting and romantic destinations in Morocco, nestled along rich river valleys, palm groves, and burnished mud-brick homes, all ablaze in vibrant color under the shelter of the blue desert sky.
We’ll stop for lunch and take a walk in Todra Gorge. Afterward, we’ll travel through the Dadès Valley, passing dramatic escarpments, and then continue on to Ouarzazate in the afternoon. You will have a brief tour of the town, including the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous movie studios in Africa.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at your Riad or Hotel.
Day 8: Marrakech - Ourika - Marrakech
Departure from the hotel towards Ourika Valley. A beautiful drive takes you to the foot of the Atlas Mountains, where you will discover small villages made of mud, red buildings hanging on the sides of the mountain, terraced agriculture, and the cool, fresh banks of the river.
As part of your Marrakech Desert Tours, you’ll visit a Berber house to explore the traditional lifestyle, the simplicity of their equipment, and gain insight into Berber culture and privacy. You will then have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of mint tea and enjoy it with a local family.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at your Hotel or Riad.
Day 9: Marrakech - Essaouira - Marrakech
In the morning, after breakfast, depart towards Essaouira. On the way, we will stop to visit a cooperative of argan oil producers. Upon arrival in Essaouira, we will begin our exploration of this relaxed town, located two hours from Marrakech, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site – a protected city.
As you enjoy your Luxury Moroccan Holiday, you’ll discover the ramparts of Essaouira and the 16th-century walled city, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. A day trip to Essaouira – one of the most charming medinas in all of Morocco – provides ample time to visit key monuments, the old fish markets, and the lively seaport.
You’ll also have the chance to watch silver craftsmen and wood carvers at work. In the afternoon, we will head back to Marrakech for Dinner & Overnight.
Day 10: Marrakech - Ouzoud Waterfalls - Marrakech
After breakfast, we will start a day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, located in the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, the most visited site in the region. Surrounding the waterfalls are green valleys, mills, orchards, and a stunning circuit through the gorges of the Slaves River.
During your Morocco Luxury Tours, you'll explore the area where the name "Ouzoud" comes from the Berber word for "olive," reflecting the nearby olive trees. The bottom of the falls is accessible through a shaded path lined with these olive trees, and at the summit, you'll find a dozen old, small mills still in use.
In the late afternoon, you can observe troops of monkeys. There is also an option to follow a narrow and challenging track leading to the road of Beni-Mellal, descending through the gorges of "Wadi el-Abid". The canyon here reaches nearly 600 meters in depth, and the bottom is almost invisible.
In the afternoon, we will return to Marrakech for Dinner & Overnight.
